For my birthday celebration, my wife took me to Montana's on Innes Rd in Orleans. The waitress said,"Your birthday? Okay, we'll make it special for you."
Far from it.
The place was not busy At All, but 1/2 hr after ordering we still didn't have our meal. Another 10 minutes go by and our waitress said,"Shouldn't be long now" but we are out of patience and having a very lousy time. After another 10 minutes she told us once again "shouldn't be long...." but it's been nearly an hour and I told my wife I am ready to leave.
I complained loudly and frankly to our waitress - loud enough for many others to hear. The waitress said she'll get the manager but I just said,"Don't bother" and we left, drained of patience, very annoyed and rather miserable. I've never done this before, but I felt justified this time. I've given this restaurant a lot of very negative publicity to friends and family and will continue to do so. We won't be going back there are more reliable places to eat. I will remember this "Special" birthday experience.
